Do you know what your temperament is?! Personality and temperament tests are very popular these days, and there are so many of them out there!! There is a very simple free online temperament test HERE! Go take the quiz to find out what your 2 main temperaments are and then head back here to find out how to incorporate your temperament into your fitness. The test should only take five to ten minutes.
Alright, so now you know your temperament!!! Isn't that fun?! Why would temperament be so helpful with exercise habits? Let's think about this. Temperament was a theory going all the way back to ancient Greece with Hippocrates. (For some historical reading on that topic, feel free to click HERE). The temperaments describe a person's natural strengths and weaknesses, and once we can identify those strengths and weaknesses we can then learn how to rely on our own strengths in certain areas of our lives, as well as learn which area's we will need a syste...
Made these last week and would you believe it if I told you that I get to eat these beauties on my 80 Day Obsession meal plan?!?! Yes ma’am I do!
I don't get to eat these every day, but on re-feed days I hide them in the fridge just for me! LOL! Re-feed days in my current fitness program, 80 Day Obsession, allow for treats and carbs that have a higher glycemic index in order to replenish the glycogen levels in your muscles to increase strength gains as well as bust plateaus. Re-feed days also provide for a bit of a mental break in this Clean Eating program, where having a brownie or a white hamburger bun is actually suggested every other week. And the mental break alone has been surprisingly refreshing!
My kiddos beg me for these every week! Sometimes on multiple days too! They are warm and filling and made with whole foods so I can't complain. They are especially great for those kiddos who don't like a bowl of oatmeal, as they will scarf these down without hesitation. Enjoy!

Best chicken strips recipe ever!!! My kids and I LOVE these!! Throw away that bag of frozen chicken nuggets girl! And don’t look back!
*I usually double this recipe for my larger family.
1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast sliced into strips (or bought pre-sliced)
2 Tbsp Dill
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 c almond flour
4 Tbsp coconut oil
1. Cut chicken into strips. (Unless pre-sliced)
2. Whisk eggs in med sz bowl.
3. In another medium sz bowl mix spices and almond flour together.
4. Dip the chicken into the egg wash, then roll in the flour mixture until coated.
5. Pan fry strips in coconut oil for 5 min on each side or until golden brown. Or use an electric skillet.
*Or you can bake at 425 in the oven (melt coconut oil into baking dish before adding in chicken) for approx 30 min, turning once halfway through cooking. Strips may cook faster or slower based on thickness.

Reflecting on the Parable of the Talents (see bottom of this article to read the parable in full), I've often wondered how I could multiply what God has blessed me with...have you? Because honestly I'd be perfectly happy sticking my head in the sand or burying my treasure and not multiplying anything, just maintaining. Well the quote in the picture above ran across my inbox a while back, and became a 💡 light bulb 💡moment for me! As Matthew Kelly would say, "HEALTH is a multiplier of talents!!!"
Health magnifies the natural gifts that God has given us to serve Him! Health is like a bank of sorts, that when you make a deposit, you get your deposit plus interest back in return.
Maybe this is an intriguing idea for you too? However you have been called to serve God in your life, you serve even better, with a little bit of attention to your health.
In this morning's prayer time, (using Give Us This Day) by God's grace, I met a very special woman. Blessed Eurosia Fabris (1866-1932), or Mamma Rosa as she was called by everyone who knew her. I am so used to reading the bio's of saints or blessed's who lived lives as holy nuns, priests, or monks, that Mamma Rosa's story caught me by surprise and completely warmed my heart immediately, as I am always on the lookout for mentors who lived holy lives as mothers. She was the mother of 11 children (2 adopted) and a 3rd order lay Franciscan. As a young woman she felt called to serve a family with three young children, who's mother had tragically passed away. Later on, she felt called to marry their father, (even though she had several other men who had previously expressed interest, but to none of whom she felt called to marry) and then went on to have nine more children (one of the original mother's children passed away shortly after the mother's death). What an amazing charitable, and h...
